Villa Passalacqua on Lake Como

In the heart of the small town of Moltrasio, on the shores of the Como Lake, Villa Passalacqua was finally reborn in June 2023. After a lengthy restoration commissioned by the De Santis family, the extraordinary 18th century property returned to its former glory, giving new life to the three majestic buildings that make up the estate – each with its own distinct personality and unique charm.

Villa

The Villa celebrates the splendour of Italian history with original frescoes, stuccoes and decorations, while the more exclusive Casa Al Lago welcomes guests in its striking rooms with large windows and lake views.

The most interesting restoration, however, remains that of the Palazz, the old stables, characterised by a warm and refined style. For this ambitious project, the De Santis family relied on the expert hands of artisans and historical workshops, establishing important collaborations with Italian companies that represent the excellence of Made in Italy in the world.

Among them, Fortuny was chosen for the lighting of the Palazz and its eight suites.

With their sinuous and delicate shapes, decorated with historical ornaments and patterns, the silk and glass Fortuny chandeliers marry the elegance and attention to detail of the rooms of the Palazz, offering guests an atmosphere of lightness, suspended in mid-air over the marvellous views of the Lake.
